Code of Conduct for Artists

Art Online displays artwork for free. It is not involved with any transactions between the artist and the buyer. We do however, expect the artist to deal with any potential buyers with the utmost respect and professionalism. Failure to do so can lead to suspension of the artist's account.

Guidelines For Artists

 
1.Artists should establish their own Return Policy. 2.We recommend Artists to insure their artwork against transportation damages before any shipment is made. The Artist is then able to re-fund the Buyer in full if the artwork arives damaged. 3.Whether you sell an art piece independently or via Art Online, you must always send us an email to let us know so that we can mark your art piece as "SOLD". 4.When you sell an art piece we suggest you facilitate the buyer with a tracking number so that they can track their purchase. 5. All artwork prices are excluding shipping costs unless specified by the artist. 6.Artists should be able to ship internationally and shipping costs must be calculated in advance and discussed with the Buyer. 7.Shipping costs are based on artwork size, weight and distance shipped. Artists often use . 8.We recommend that Artists ship any Artwork sold within 72 hours of sale. The amount of time required to receive a purchase depends on the type of shipping selected. This is normally discussed with the Buyer. Artists can look on the site for information on shipping costs and delivery times. 9.Even though we do not display links we recommend that Artists set-up a PayPal account to facilitate payments for potential Buyers. 10.Artists may sell the same photograph more than once as long as each copy is signed in a location that will be visible once the photograph is matted and framed. 11.All Artworks must be original artworks and must be signed by the Artist.
