Information Collected from visitors/Art Collectors and Artists If a visitor (art collector or artist) would like to post comments on the site, it is required to first open a free account and provide contact information: first name, last name, country and e-mail address. This information is NOT disclosed on the website. The artist and visitor/art collector can opt to display his/her name or use a pseudonym. We do not disclose or sell your information to any third parties. Any comments posted on the artist’s page will be visible to all visitors. All comments and questions are stored in a database which the artists may access after logging into their secure area of the website. Visitors/Art collectors and artists have the ability to remove their comments and questions at any time. This action will remove their comments from the Art Online database and prevent artists from viewing or responding to the deleted comments. Information Collected from Artists After opening an account with Art Online, an artist has the option to create a detailed on-line profile, including: the artist's name, artist statement, biography, artwork and artwork details. All of this information is fully disclosed on Art Online. Any site visitor that visits Art Online and navigates to the artist's "profile page" will be able to view all of the profile information that has been entered by that artist. Security Art Online member accounts, including artists and visitors/art collectors, are secured by member-created passwords. Art Online takes precautions to ensure that member account information is kept private. We use reasonable measures to protect member information that is stored within our database, and we restrict access to member information to those employees who need access to perform their job functions. Please note that we cannot guarantee the security of member account information. The transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure and therefore we cannot guarantee the security of data sent to us electronically and transmission of such data is therefore entirely at your own risk. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password so that you can access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential.
